We have finally found the time to paint some of our figures. You can find them on our Gallery page. We are not the best painter but we are happy with them. If you have photos of your painted figures, do not hesitate to send them to redstarminiatures@gmail.com, we will certainly put them on our Gallery page.

Finally some pictures of our first trade stand ever at Crisis 2009 in Antwerp on 7 November. A success thanks to you all. Thanks to the organisers for their support, and to all the peoples who gave us cheerful and supportive comments and bought our figures.

That’s it, the first figurines are available in the Shop!  In order to respect as much as possible the realism and the detail of the sculpts we opted to design the weapons separately for some of the figurines. That means that you will have to glue them in place. We hope that the available pictures on the site will provide sufficient information to assemble the figurines without too many problems. If you feel you have not enough information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are aware that some people do not like to do this so the question remains open for future releases. Or we ‘persist’ and we will then probably follow the option of separate arms+weapons (that will give us some more leeway). Or we come back to a less fine sculpt, where the space between arms/weapons and body are smaller or artificially filled. It will mainly depend on your reactions and comments how we will proceed in the future. In the mean time we wish you lots of pleasure with our first models.

Being longstanding “fans” of the Red Army/Russian Army look and history, our first foray in modern conflicts will cover the Chechen Wars. These long and complicated conflicts offer the wargamer an endless list of scenario’s, urban or not, a vast choice of troops, regular or not, all with lots of character and an endless stream of material from the huge depots of the defunct Soviet Union. Following our first packs of Russian infantry (3 packs of 4 and a heavy weapons pack), we will try to quickly have the first Chechen fighters out (4 packs of 4). Then, if all goes well, more Russians with, in particular, vehicle crews and infantry riders in the typical Russian style.
